Community Associations

Since 1995, Jonathan R. Rubin has provided legal services to condominium and homeowner associations that include general corporate matters, civil litigation, fines enforcement, collections, evictions, foreclosures, contract negotiations, amending governing documents, injunctions to enforce governing documents, preparation of annual meeting notices and attendance at annual meetings and regular or special board meetings.

Jonathan R. Rubin represents several communities in Miami-Dade County ranging from high rise condominiums and planned unit developments to smaller town homes and low rise condominiums.  The firm prides itself on being attentive and accessible to its clients.  E-mails and telephone calls are responded to within 24 hours.  Monthly collections and lien foreclosure status reports are provided to our clients

Since its inception, the firm has striven to maintain affordable legal services.  Each collection account is taken on a contingency.  All charges for fees and costs are borne by the delinquent unit owner. Only the costs of the lien foreclosure action are advanced by the client.  The firm’s priority is to recover any out of pocket expenses advanced by the client.  The firm will charge for its fees and costs only if the association is the successful bidder at the lien foreclosure sale, the unit is transferred by virtue of a Certificate of Title to the mortgagee or a third-party purchaser, the association prevents the firm from pursuing collecting unpaid maintenance against the delinquent owner or the owner files a dischargable Chapter 7 or 13 bankruptcy.  For all other legal services provided to community associations, the firm bills at an affordable rate commensurate with the client’s financial condition.
